The workshop where Carlo Zauli produced his works is situated in the heart of Faenza. It attracted a lot of other great artists, who wanted to compare themselves with the creative originality of the artist who is considered one of the top potter-sculptors of the 20th century.
Today this centre for exchange and artistic creation has become the Museo Carlo Zauli, which includes an anthological itinerary of Zauli's work, from the early 1950s to the 1990s, in the historic setting of his studio-workshop.
The Carlo Zauli Museum, as well as preserving and displaying the work of the artist from Faenza, also promotes the use of ceramics in contemporary art. With this in mind the Museo Carlo Zauli created the Artist's Residence project in 2003, which involves annual workshops and meetings with artists, critics and curators in order to bring the public closer to contemporary art and make them more aware of it. 4 artists who joined the project are the protagonists of 4 events organized by the Museo Carlo Zauli for the festival.
