Francesco Manacorda

Francesco Manacorda completed an MA in curating contemporary art at the Royal College of Art, London. As a freelance curator, he has curated The Mythological Machine – Images in the Media at the Mead Gallery, University of Warwick (2004); A Certain Tendency in Representation - Cineclub at Thomas Dane, Thomas Dane Gallery, London (2005); Subcontingent – The Indian Subcontinent in Contemporary Art at the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, Turin (2006) and the national pavilions of Slovenia (2007) and New Zealand (2009) at the Biennale di Venezia.
Between 2007 and 2009 he was Curator at the Barbican Art Gallery, London where he realised the exhibitions Martian Museum of Terrestrial Art (2008) Radical Nature (2009).
Manacorda has written extensively for Domus, Flash Art Italia, Flash Art International, Frieze, Metropolis M, Piktogram, Untitled, and Art Review.
He is now Artistic Director of Artissima, Turin and a visiting lecturer on the curating contemporary art program at the Royal College of Art, London.
