Francesco Jodice

Francesco Jodice was born in Naples in 1967.

He graduated in Architecture in 1996. His artistical aim is to explore the changes in social landscapes, comparing similar scenarios around the world through photography, film-making, text and mapping.

In 2000 he founded Multiplicity, a global network of architects and visual artists. From 2004 he teaches “Theory and Practice of Visual Technology” at Bolzano Art & Design University; from 2005, “Visual Urban Antropology” at NABA (New Academy of Fine Art) in Milan.

In 2008 he received from the UN the brief to celebrate the 60° anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights with a short movie clip. He took part to Documenta, Kassel; La Biennale, Venice; Bienal, Sao Paulo; Liverpool Biennal; ICP Triennal of Photography and Video New York City. He exhibited at Tate Modern, London; Reina Sofia, Madrid; Castello di Rivoli, Turin; Maison Européenne de la Photographie, Paris; Bard College, New York City; MAMbo, Bologna. He is now working on three different projects: What We Want, Secret Traces and Citytellers.

He lives and works in Milan, Italy.
