the life of artworks: creating exhibitions

|

Angela Vettese will interview Miwon Kwon, curator and contemporary art history lecturer, and Lynne Cooke, curator at the Reina Sofia Museum in Madrid about their curatorial theories and practices. The debate will be an occasion to talk about the theme of “site specificity”, the relationship between art works and the spaces in which they are created, and also to wonder about what creating a personal exhibition on a key figure of contemporary art means. Curators need to ask themselves how to deal with such important figures and all the different moments in the artist’s life.
