thinking about art: Marcel Duchamp, between biography and myth

|

Marcel Duchamp is one of the most influential figures of contemporary art, from avant-garde to the present day. The irony, the social revolution of objects made possible by the “ready-made”, the atmosphere of mystery surrounding artworks like “The Large Glass”, are just some of the main features of this complex intellectual figure who revolutionised the art world and changed it forever. Carlos Basualdo and Bernard Marcadé, author of the biography Marcel Duchamp: une vie à credit will talk about the artist and his work.
