Tobias Rehberger won the Golden Lion Prize at the 53rd Biennial of Visual Arts in Venice. He will be interviewed by Angela Vettese. He constructs futuristic environments that play with light, space, furniture, signage and clothing, inspired by modernist art history and postwar design classics. Sociable, interactive, utopian and playful, his work thrives on chance connections, unexpected encounters and the inevitable interpretative gap between communication and comprehension.
