Cshirt, the T-shirt line with the ‘C’ logo of the festival of Contemporary art, arrived in the bookshops of leading Italian museums during December. First deliveries went to MACRO, which opened on 4th December, the MAMbo, the Castello di Rivoli and the Palazzo Forti museums.
Each Cshirt is the creation of a leading contemporary artist encapsulating a story and the artist’s vision of the world. The first Cshirt is “Miss & Mister Office” by Pascale Marthine Tayou.
Tayou describes his design as a “pins-shirt”, an “acupuncture canvas”, full of coloured pins and office accessories to remind us that the search for pleasure and enjoyment can always live alongside fatigue and suffering. The artist explains that his Cshirt is designed “to captivate like a painting, a sculpture, cut for pleasure, sewn and made in all colours and sizes: S, M, L, XL”. Pascale Marthine Tayou says, “I’ll let you choose your own size, the size for your friends and enemies. Gift this present and they will love you for it”.
