Italy, in spite of having "culture in its DNA" has been in a state of collective paralysis and amnesia for more than thirty years. The treasure chest in which we keep our artistic heritage has turned into a tomb for discarded artefacts. Innovation, creativity and cultural production are the only elements which can remove this psychological barrier, thus becoming the driving forces in the reconstruction of Italy's identity. Achille Bonito Oliva will discuss this theme with Christian Caliandro and Pier Luigi Sacco, the authors of Italia Reloaded. Ripartire con la cultura (Il Mulino, 2011).
