Carlos Basualdo, member of the scientific committee of the festival of the Contemporary art, is the contemporary art curator at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, as well as teaching at the IUAV University of Venice on the subject of the History of Exhibitions. He was a member of the group of curators of Documenta 11 in 2002 and one of the curators of the 50th Venice Biennale in 2003.

He has curated shows and exhibitions all over the world, at the New Museum of Contemporary Art in New York, at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago, at the Whitechapel Art Gallery and Barbican Centre in London and also at the Museum of Modern Art in Ljubljana. He collaborates with Artforum International and ArtNexus.
