Sunday, May 22 Closure of The Contemporary Art Festival dedicated to collecting, with members of the contemporary art scene an C/books
The day starts with two sessions by Cyou, the volunteer community at the festival, who will investigate the issue of collecting and also contemporary space from the academies point of view: at 11, the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna presents "Fine Arts Forever", a debate on the role of the academies in tradition and innovation, in view of their University's configuration and its relationship with fine arts and contemporary space. Speakers, along with Director Adriano Bacillieri, three critics and docent curators of the academy, Bruno Bandini, Beatrice Buscaroli, Roberto Daolio. Immediately following, at 12, Dolzanelli Roberto, director of the LABA Academy in Brescia, together with docent and critic Giampietro Guiotto, presents the Laba Space which opened in 2008 in a separate area of the Academy in a seventh century palace. The LABA space is an active contemporary art gallery exhibiting works both by established artists and young talent.
At 14, the Pavilion hosts a meeting between architecture and design, with Alfonso Acocella and Gabriele Lelli, professors of the Facoltà di Archittettura in Ferrara.
At 15, we go back for a second round with Mario Nanni's workshop Cos'è per te la luce? What, for you, is light? Linked to his exhibition which continues its journey in Faenza after the Triennial in Milan and Explora Museum in Rome. The exhibition presents 250 projects dedicated to the theme of light and realized by young designers aged 8 to 12 years from around the world.
The Pavilion's program concludes the fourth edition of the festival, at 15 with the Gaetano Marzotto Prize, a prize of € 400,000, dedicated to new entrepreneurs, who bring together business and society, culture and territory. Presented by Cristiano Seganfreddo, associate director of Project Marzotto, Ferdinando Businaro, CEO Association Project Marzotto and Marco Bettiol, Researcher at the University of Padua and Venice International University.
