An opportunity to talk about the topic of the fourth edition of the festival of Contemporary art, entitled Forms of collecting/Forme della committenza (Faenza, 20/22 May 2011).
Some of the main issues of the next edition of the festival include the public and private patronage system, the influence of the market and collectors on artists’ creativity, and the role of art in the process of creating economic value. During Artissima, a conversation between Angela Vettese and Elena Del Drago, with the participation of the protagonists and friends of the festival, will act as a starting point for the debate of the fourth edition of the festival of Contemporary art. Public and private institutions, collectors, curators and artists are invited to participate in the meeting and to share their opinions.
Angela Vettese is an international curator and member of the scientific board of the festival together with Carlos Basualdo and Pier Luigi Sacco.
Elena Del Drago is a contemporary art historian, journalist and radio speaker.
