Angela Vettese is an art critic and a member of the scientific committee of the festival of the Contemporary art.

She has curated exhibitions, written essays and published several books, including Capire l'arte contemporanea (Allemandi), Artisti si diventa (Carocci) and A cosa serve l'arte contemporanea (Allemandi). She has collaborated with Il Sole 24 ORE since 1986.

She was member of the scientific committee of the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo (1995-1997). She is the Director of the Master in Visual Arts teaches at the IUAV University in Venice, director of the Galleria Civica di Modena and president of the Fondazione Bevilacqua la Masa. She is the president of the international Jury of the 53rd Venice Biennale.
