Andrea Bruciati

Andrea Bruciati was born in Corinaldo in 1968. He graduated in History of Art after writing his thesis on Lucia Fontana and Piero Manzoni. Since 2002, he has been the artistic director of the GC.AC (Municipal Gallery of Contemporary Art) of Monfalcone, in northern Italy.
He contributes to several specialist magazines and plays an active role in the debate regarding a national network for research and training in the field of contemporary art. He is also interested in promoting young Italian artists internationally, and in the diffusion of new types of media.
As part of the museum programme, he has created various new formats: lab.it, videoREPORT ITALIA, prima visione, 40, L'immagine sottile, Fruz and Past Forward. His most important publications include: U_Move; Painting Codes; Love Addiction and Soft Cell.
